Daily Mass Readings, July 15-20

You may recognize her name from a previous post of mine, but Carey Bailey is the brain behind Cravings, a blog designed to “help you satisfy your craving for abundant life.”  Carey does a wonderful job of helping busy moms find time for personal devotion using tools such as Pin God 1stMama Helpers and many others.

Carey has made personal devotion easier by basically organizing everything for me.  Well, not specifically for me, but it feels like she designed them with me in mind.  All I do is print the list, place it on the fridge, wake up a little early, look up the suggested scripture and read.   Easy peasy lemon squeezy, right?

After beginning Pin God 1st, I was listening to Fr. Farrell’s homily at Mass when I had a thought.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have the daily Mass readings provided in a similar fashion as Mama Helpers or Pin God 1st? Something I can print and put on the fridge or keep folded in my Bible.  Then I had another thought {other than I really should listen to the homily}.  What if do it?

So without further ado, I present Daily Mass Readings according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  I hope you find these printable lists as convenient as I found Carey’s devotional tools.

Reading, Reading and More Reading

They keep piling up.  This does not include books I have gotten for my kiddo to read or CCD references . . . or the Bible which should be on the top of the stack.  Maybe one day I’ll finish reading them all.

Do You Seriously Think God Can’t Use You?

Do You Seriously Think God Can't Use You?

I wish I knew the designer of this graphic. I would really like to give them credit.

Yes, I seriously thought God couldn’t use me. During every Mass I ask God to come into my heart and allow Him to work through me and yet I never feel adequate enough for it. Seeing this has made me realize priests, monks, and nuns aren’t the only worthy tool of God’s hand.

The Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 – [26] For see your vocation, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble: [27] But the foolish things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the wise; and the weak things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the strong. [28] And the base things of the world, and the things that are contemptible, hath God chosen, and things that are not, that he might bring to nought things that are: [29] That no flesh should glory in his sight.
