A couple of weeks ago I was searching Pinterest for some fun activities to use in the CCD class of which I assist a wonderful teacher in the religious education of some phenomenal 2nd graders. In my searching I came across a pin that read “Catechism of the Catholic Church for the Year of Faith”. This pin lead me to a flocknote page where I entered my email address and began receiving daily readings from Catechism of the Catholic Church. I enjoy my daily readings; however, I began on day 145.
I decided to stop receiving my daily readings and start from the beginning, and I invite you to accompany me. I will be using COMPENDIUM, Catechism of the Catholic Church from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and sharing my readings here with you.
THE PROFESSION OF FAITH
SECTION ONE. “I BELIEVE” – “WE BELIEVE”
1. What is the plan of God for man?
God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. In the fullness of time, God the Father sent his Son as the Redeemer and Savior of mankind, fallen into sin, thus calling all into his Church and, through the work of the Holy Spirit, making them adopted children and heirs of his eternal happiness.
May God bless you,
