About Me

Hello there!

Please allow me to introduce myself.  My name in Millie Hill.  I am the wife of a great man and the mother of one spectacular daughter.  I am not what is known as a cradle Catholic; however, I was Baptized in the Catholic church at age seven, so I have basically been a Catholic my entire life.

I don’t remember much from my CCD classes when I was a child.  As a matter of fact, I don’t remember attending at all, but my mother says otherwise.  My religious education came from my family.  I had great examples of Catholic faith growing up.  One of my favorite things to do during the summer months was attend morning Mass with my grandfather and say the Rosary with him at night.

Like a lot of young adults I strayed from the church and for a very long time.  Twelve years as a matter of fact.  In 2010, I experienced something that can only be described as divine intervention.  A miracle to say the least.  My life changed forever.  So I returned to the church fully energized and ready to learn.  A “lost and found” Catholic.

I began assisting with the 2nd grade catechism class and volunteering with vacation bible school during the summer at my parish.  I got some fulfillment from this, but there was still something missing.  In the summer of 2012, I attended a retreat called 33 Days to Morning Glory: A Do-It-Yourself Retreat in Preparation for Marian Consecration written by Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC.  Everyone experiences something different from Marian consecration.  Consecrating myself to Mary has ignited my need to learn more about my faith.  I need to learn more.  I desire to learn more.  I THIRST to learn more.

I once was lost, but now I’m found.  So now what? Now I spend time reading, studying and learning.

Romans 15-4

And for the record, I’m not a writer. But I feel the need to share some of my experiences in written form. So please bear with me and all of my grammatical errors.

May God bless you today and always,

Wonderful to read your story and to hear that you are fired up in your Catholic faith! I, too, completed the 33 Days… retreat with a group of women in my parish. I was not quite ready for the consecration, but maybe someday… Thank you for visiting my blog.

I'd love to hear from you.
