Jesus’s Weekly Words of Wisdom

Before the school year started I debated on whether or not to purchase a cardboard cutout of either Jesus or Pope Francis. Naturally I didn’t debate very long. Who could choose Pope Francis over Jesus!?!

I searched the World Wide Web and found a life-size cardboard, cartoon cutout of Jesus on Oriental Trading. I ordered it right away in hopes it would arrive before classes would begin, but alas, my previous shipping address was pre-programmed and Jesus was delivered to the wrong address. {AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!}

I took it as a sign that maybe it was too much for the classroom. But to my surprise, Jesus was miraculously delivered to my new address {a few months late . . . but He still arrived.}

So now, Jesus sits with us every week and gives His words of wisdom by which to live.

I printed a word bubble from the computer {you can find one online, but I created one in Adobe Illustrator} then laminated it and used foam glue dots to affix the word bubble to a popsicle stick so I can change the message every week.

But how do I change the message every week without tearing Him up? I put foam glue dots the width of the popsicle stick to the back of His head to hold the word bubble in place.

The children love seeing Him every week and look forward to reading His words of wisdom.

I'd love to hear from you.
